I thought it would be a nice idea to create this tribute to keep John's memory alive....not that any of us have forgotten him.
John passed away suddenly on 11th December 2000 - he had a heart attack which came as a great shock to us all.
John lived in Halifax yet he was born in Birmingham...
He was a long distance lorry driver and also he did a spell in the army - over in the Middle East. He was a Special Constable in the 60's/70's & 80's too...
He was a right Jack-of-all-Trades and would lend his hand to anything. He loved fixing televisions and tinkering with his car.
He still has a brother Barry who lives here in Halifax, he has 9 children; Susan, John, Ros, Janine, Tracey, Adrian, Lisa, Chris and Lyndon.
Thought it best to update the above details, sadly John's brother Barry passed away in November 2008. R.I.P Barry & also sadly couple of weeks after Barry's death, his little dog Midge passed away, so RIP both of you.
John, my step-dad married my mum Jessie about 1978/79, he was a good man, he would go out of his way to help anybody, he had a heart of gold.

I've looked on here before but never posted, guess I'm just too soft when it comes down to this kinda stuff! Im trying to organise a do for your anniversary in December, it's a sad state of affairs, but no one talks anymore really! I go see my uncle Lyndon probably once month, we talk about you now and again, I just wish you could see me now I've grown up, me and you would probably talk like me and my uncle Lyndon do. Our Sean and the younger end of your grandchildren have now all grown up, some of them have even got kids themselves now, making you a great grandfather!
Anyway, it's late and it's gonna take me forever trying to load this on my phone!

Happy 86th Birthday John
Happy Birthday for today John, you would have been 86, getting on a tad, spose you would have been tinkering about or watching telly. Well, mom is still doing well, she fit and well and lives in Sowerby Bridge, not far from me...hope you're looking after Grandma, say hi from me, have to go now and study...love you Claire xx

Sorry haven't posted for a while
Life still as crap, I'll tell you you ain't missing a thing down here.
Aaron and Sean both doing fine, Aaron is a director of his dad's company and Sean a shareholder as he isn't 18!!
Just plodding along now waiting for Christmas so we can go on holiday again--not as far this year just probably Cyprus--never fancied it before now but am looking forward to it (well providing we can get a good deal!!)
Orla-jene is FOUR on sunday I can't believe it but there you go time flying again
